Joy and Relief

Yes, indeed, we have accomplished (almost) all of those things which were stressing us out last week! The biggest deal was MOVING, which came off so smoothly I couldn't believe it. We were completely moved by 12:30! Many, many thanks to those who helped us move: Andrew & Shelly, and Matt & Rachel. Thanks also to Ryan for loaning us his truck. The biggest thanks go to my dear friend, Charity, who came down Friday afternoon and stayed up with me packing all evening, and then packed half the day Saturday. She single-handedly packed up my whole kitchen Saturday morning, then UNpacked it in the new place Saturday afternoon! What a trooper! She was definitely a Godsend. We couldn't have done it without any of you guys. You're awesome! So now we're unpacking and getting everything just how we want it. It's coming together really quickly, though, so that's exciting. We're looking for a pair of armchairs to go in our living room, so if anybody knows of any that are at least minorly cute and majorly cheap, let us know! Once we get everything presentable, I'll post pics of our new place. You'll be so impressed! It's so roomy! We hardly know what to do with ourselves.

As far as our other stressful issues, Justin did manage to take his finals on Saturday. He doesn't have his grades yet, but it sure is a relief to be done with them. His next summer session starts on Thursday, so he has a few days to relax (and get our apartment put together!) before hitting the grind again.

And selling the Mustang. Oh, the Mustang. This is the problem that will never die. We've got a girl on the line ready to buy it. She and Justin have made an agreement, put it in writing, and she's put a deposit down on the car. This is all good news, you say, so what's the problem? Well, there's a repair we need to make before we can sell it to her. In order to make this repair, it needs a new part, but apparently Ford has already stopped producing replacement parts, even though this car is only 8 years old. So the repair shop had to hunt down anybody and everybody that might have this part. They finally found one, and it was supposed to arrive Friday. No show. Then they told us it would definitely arrive today. You guessed it - no show. So the poor girl is still just waiting and waiting for her car, and we're just waiting and waiting for its repair part to come in! As soon as the dern thing arrives, the shop will fix it that day and we'll sign the papers that evening. We're just in a holding pattern waiting for whatever podunk shop they found this part in to actually get it here! So that's more just irritating than it is stressful. There's nothing we can do about it, that's for sure!

So anyways, life is definitely much better than it was last week. And I don't have to work tomorrow, so I'm definitely sleeping in! Praise God for holidays! :)

Congrats on your move! It's a huge ordeal. I've been reading your blog for a few weeks now. I started reading because of the Joni name. Not many people spell it that way so of course I wanted to see what my name partner had to say!
