I just wanted to get on here and write a quick note about my doctor's appointment today. Everything's looking great and we're doing fine! They did the test for Group B Strep today, so I should get the results for that at my next appointment. (If it turns out positive, that means I'll need to have antibiotics during the delivery to avoid infecting the baby, but it's not a big deal either way.) I also had my first cervical exam today - OUCH! No dilation at all yet, but she said my cervix is definitely getting softer. She was also able to clearly tell that Eli is in the head-down position, so there was no need for an ultrasound. I'm a little disappointed just because I wanted to be able to see him again, but I'm glad he's so clearly in position! From now until Eli comes I'll be going in every week! For the next 3 weeks I'll see a different doctor each time so that I'll actually have met all of the people who may be delivering my baby. It could be any of the 3 of them, depending on who is on call that day. So it'll be nice to at least be able to have MET the doctor before he/she is down there catching Eli! :) So praise God for a good visit - things are going great!
