Father's Day

We had a fun day on Sunday celebrating Father's Day! We left in the morning as soon as Elias finished his breakfast, and we drove to Springfield (about 30 minutes). First we stopped at IHOP for breakfast, which is quite a treat for us!Then we went to Dickerson Park Zoo, which was letting fathers in free that day! Since Elias was young enough to also get in free, we got all three of us in for just the price of one admission that day! Score! The zoo was small, so it only took us about 2 hours to do, but we wouldn't have wanted to stay out in the heat much later anyways. Elias did GREAT, though, especially considering he missed his morning nap in order to go! He liked looking at the animals, especially the tiger and the giraffes. What fun!

The zoo had peacocks just wandering around. At the petting zoo - that goat REALLY wanted us to feed it!Looking at the flamingos......and the tiger......and the elephant. The giraffes had babies! Cute!
