We had another vomiting episode with Elias yesterday, and so now it seems like I can see a similarity between the two. They happened at the same time of day (about 3pm), and both times it was after he had eaten eggs for lunch. The first time, he had a hard-boiled egg yolk mixed in with his vegetables. The second time, it was an egg yolk scrambled with some cheese. Both times, we saw those eggs again. Yesterday was the first time I gave him eggs after the first incident, because I wondered if maybe they had something to do with his being sick the first time. So I guess they did!
What confuses me about this is that he has eaten eggs before without having a problem. I don't keep exact records of what he eats any more, but I know he's had an egg yolk at least 5 or 6 times before this, and he's eaten them in both the ways I mentioned above. So why would he be having problems now that he didn't have the first several times he ate them? Does anybody have any thoughts on this? I do plan to call the doctor to ask about it, but I thought I'd also put it out here and see if anybody has anything to add.

It can take a little while to build up in their system enough to cause a reaction. My Eli is allergic to milk, peanuts and eggs. It usually takes a few times of eating them for him to have a reaction (Our pedi told us to try and reintroduce them a few times to see if he was over the allergy).
I asked and read about egg allergies since I show a reaction on an allergy test to eggs (though I eat them & don't notice a problem) I worried that might mean Noah would be allergic as well. And I learned that the proteins that they are most often allergic to are found in the whites of the eggs so it could also be if he was eating mostly the yolk before that that part didn't bother him & the whites did... I don't know. But when I think something has caused a reaction I will try to make sure I wait a few days and then on a day when I'll be home I give him foods he has regularly and then try it out again to see what happens. Noah gets sick when he eats carrots and I keep trying them every now and then to see if he gets over it or not. Keep us posted!
They weren't both out of the same carton, were they? Maybe you just got a bad batch and his system is more sensitive to it. . .
